What is Duty Free?

Duty free is a term used to describe an item which is exempt of tax and duty.

Who can buy on the 20/Vin duty Free website: https://dutyfree.vsv.mu/

Any traveler departing from Mauritius; residents, expats, 20/Vin customers and tourists above 18 years old, of the legal drinking age, having a with a valid passport and valid travel ticket.

When can I order on https://dutyfree.vsv.mu/

To ensure the best possible services, we accept order up to 48 hours prior to your departure.

Please note that orders sent on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays will be delivered on Tuesdays.

How much can I order?

There is no restriction regarding the quantity of products you can order on the website. However, be aware that your country of destination has probably an allowance regarding alcohol and cigar products. You will have to declare your products in your country of destination and pay any tax if required.

What information do I need to have to order?

You need to provide us with the following information so that we can deliver your items on the right date and time:

– Departure Date
– Departure Time
– Flight Number
– Other compulsory information requested upon check out on the website.

Payment

What means of payment are available to me?

Products are sold in EURO. We accept card payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others.

For local residents using a card issued by the Mauritius Commercial Bank, you will have to insert your internet banking USER ID to complete your online payment.

How do I receive my invoice?

You will receive your invoice on the email address you provided after confirmation and payment of your order.

Delivery & Collection

What is the Delivery Fee?

A Delivery Fee of 5 euros is applied to all orders that are under 30 euros

Where Do I Collect My Order?

Your order will be ready for collection at the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) counter at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam (SSR) International Airport.  The counter is located at the right side of the departure hall after passport and security controls.

When will my order be delivered?

Your order will be delivered at the airport 3 hours to 24 hours before your departure under customs supervision.

How will I receive my order?

As per the Civil Aviation Protocol, Security Tamper Evident Bag (STEB) will be provided to you at the MCCI counter.

What documents do I need to bring with me when collecting my items?

You need to bring the following documents:
– Your 20/Vin Duty Free Purchase receipt
– Your passport
– Your boarding cards

Rescheduled Flight

My flight date has changed, what do I have to do?

Please inform us immediately at dutyfree@grays.mu

– For Delayed flights:
If your flight is delayed, your order will remain available at the MCCI counter for the new departure time as advised by your airline.

– For Cancelled Flights:
Your order will remain available at the MCCI counter for the new flight scheduled by your airline.

– For Missed Flights:
Please note that if we do not hear from you within twenty-four (24) hours after your scheduled departure time, the MCCI Tax Refund Counter will hand over your order to the Mauritius Revenue Authority at the airport.

Return Policy

What is your return policy?

We do not accept returns and exchanges.

General Question

Can I return with the duty-free items purchased?

Departing citizens of Mauritius are hereby informed that in case they return with goods purchased within six months of their date of departure, duty, excise duty and taxes shall be payable on the good returned after due allowances being granted.
